We call for an immediate independent investigation on the death of Javad Roohi in Iranian prison
We, the two human rights groups in Vienna, join Amnesty International call for the exercise of universal jurisdiction over all Iranian authorities who are reasonably suspected of criminal involvement in serious human rights violations such as abduction, torture and lethal violence against demonstrators.

Open Letter to the Presidents of
Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba
We as human rights organisations with Iranian roots strongly condemn the invitation of Ebrahim Raisi to the state visit and, moreover, the bestowal of the highest dignities on this notorious violator of elementary human rights, such as the right to life.

Belgian government encourages terrorism

De facto impunity granted by Belgian state to Iranian terrorist Assadollah Assadi violates basic human right

The capitulation of the Belgian state to the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) attempts at blackmail will grant impunity to its most flagrant human rights violations. It will encourage the Islamic regime and their agents in Europe, as they have done in recent decades, to declare European citizens unprotected by law as fair game, with no need for assassins to pay for their crimes.

Protest against appointment of Iran as chair of the Social Forum of UN Human Rights Council
Dear Mr. President, as representatives of parts of the Iranian community abroad, Medical Professionals for HR in Iran-Vienna and Committee to defend HR in Iran, we kindly ask you to reconsider your decision. Only representatives of a democratic Iran deserve to chair various UN human rights working groups, and that time will come.

The Foundation of the Committee to Support the Women’s and Youth Movement in Iran – The Mahsa Jina Amini Initiative
The “Committee to Support the Women’s and Youth Movement in Iran – The Mahsa Jina Amini Initiative” – is non-partisan and independent in political and financial terms. Its activities are based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, the UN Covenant on Political and Civil Rights (1966), the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (1979) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989.

Repression of medical personnel and misuse of emergency vehicles after the murder of Mahsa Amini
We support the doctors and medical personnel who have demanded an unconditional investigation into the murder of Ms. Amini in recent days. The murder of the young woman is not an exception, but symptomatic of the massive human rights violations in Iran, especially against women.

Systematic repression against Bahai citizens in Iran
The repression and increasing pressure by the Iranian government on the Bahai, including the imposition of severe penalties on them, have continued, according to the reports received, especially in recent weeks, and are unfortunately even harsher this time than before.

about barring iranian women from entering a football stadium
We condemn this policy of gender discrimination, or in other words, gender apartheid. For decades, the Islamic Republic was the only country besides Afghanistan (under the Taliban regime) where women were not allowed to enter soccer stadiums.
